This site is the companion to our YouTube channel, where two anime guide characters, Miyabi and Momo, explain how travel in Japan actually works — step by step, with clear visuals.

How we write

• Official sources first. Prices, rules and dates are checked against primary sources such as JNTO, railway operators and government sites, and every article lists its sources.
• Every article has an "as of" date. Rules change; the date tells you when the facts were last verified.
• Clearly labeled ads. Some pages contain affiliate links. They are always marked as ads and never change what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure.

Languages

Articles are written in English first. Traditional Chinese, Korean and Japanese versions may start as machine translations and are marked as such until they are reviewed. Japanese readers are welcome too: our manners guides are written to be useful for visitors and hosts alike.

Miyabi and Momo are fictional characters. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with JNTO or any government agency.
